Many clients want to know the secrets of our spit roasts, so here's a few of the questions (and the answers) that our caterers are asked about this very popular dish.
How long does it take to roast a Porker?
A large porker is about 50 - 55 Kg and takes a good 5 hours to roast.
How many servings in a large Porker?
This size will give about 120 portions with a buffet or main meal. If served in rolls, with apple sauce and stuffing, it will fill 200 to 220 rolls.
The small porker takes about 4 hours to roast, is 30 to 35 Kg and will
provide 50 portions with a buffet or main meal and will fill about 100 rolls,
with apple sauce and stuffing.
